Pace Analytical, the largest environmental testing firm in the U.S., announces the acquisition of Inter-Mountain Laboratories, a full- service environmental monitoring company headquartered in Sheridan, WY. Founded in 1979, IML is the leading provider of soil, water, and air testing in the Inter-Mountain West.
IML has developed extraordinary customer loyalty by building relationships based on value added services and mutual long term success. IML’s diverse service package of analytical testing, including radio chemistry, field sampling, kinetic testing, and ambient air monitoring is ideal for the extractive industries of the West. Additionally, IML operates the largest gravimetric laboratory for ambient air particulate in the U.S., serving numerous industry and regulatory customers across the country.
Steve Vanderboom, CEO of Pace Analytical, commented: “Since 1978, Pace has steadily built comprehensive service offerings that are beneficial to our customers. With the addition of IML, not only do we now offer exceptional services in the Rocky Mountain region, but we add ambient air monitoring as a core competency to Pace’s service package throughout the country.”
The combination of IML’s laboratory and field sampling operations in Sheridan, Pace’s Billings, MT laboratory, and IML’s service centers in Gillette and Casper, WY, will provide regional customers access to convenient, comprehensive service offerings.
Kevin Chartier, CEO of IML commented: “Teaming with Pace creates the best long term opportunities for IML customers and employees. The range of services, geography, and market presence of the two companies are very complementary. We believe the powerful synergies will create a positive outcome for all stakeholders.”
