The local maurices store has given $5,000 to the Campbell County Healthcare Foundation (CCHCF). The money will be used to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers for coronavirus (COVID-19) preparations in Campbell County, Wyoming. PPE includes things like masks, gowns, gloves, and PAPR (powered, air-purifying respirator).

maurices, a women’s apparel brand with 900+ stores across the U.S. and Canada, announced this month that it was donating $250,000 to multiple rural community hospitals on the frontlines of the COVID‐19 pandemic. Campbell County Health’s Campbell County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) will receive this generous donation.

“When caring for sick patients, healthcare workers need PPE, which is in short supply around the world. CCH is working with every resource possible to obtain needed PPE, so the timing of this donation is perfect. We are extremely grateful for maurices support,” says Mary Lou Tate, CCH Chief Financial Officer.

maurices said they selected CCMH and other rural community hospitals in markets that are representative of the brand’s full chain.

“With maurices stores in more than 900 communities, we are proud to support our local healthcare workers who are on the frontlines treating patients in rural hospitals. These individuals are truly hometown healthcare heroes,” said George Goldfarb, maurices President and CEO. “Often rural hospitals don’t get the support they need, and by providing them with a monetary donation they will be able to purchase what they need most in this fight against COVID‐19.”

Healthcare Foundation Crisis Response campaign

Healthcare providers are on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, ready to care for our community. You can say thank you to local healthcare workers with a gift of support. Your gift can help with needed supplies like personal protective equipment (PPE). Healthcare workers need these supplies to care for patients safely, and not only are they in short supply, but costs have increased significantly. Or your gift can be used to say thank you in a more personal way. Every gift is appreciated, and will be acknowledged. For businesses and individuals looking to give monetary donations to be used to support healthcare in our community, please contact CCHCF at 307.688.6235 or visit www.cchcf.com for information on the Healthcare Foundation Crisis Response GoFundMe campaign, www.gofundme.com/f/healthcare-foundation-crisis-response.
