On January 27, we welcomed Hobby Lobby to the Chamber with a ribbon cutting at their Grand Opening.
The retailer began breaking ground in the old Kmart building in 2019. This is the third Hobby Lobby store in Wyoming, after Cheyenne and Casper. They had a soft opening on Friday, January 24, and a line of people waiting to get in after we completed our ribbon cutting.
“Our staff has put in countless hours to make sure we have a good Grand Opening, and there’s already been a great response from the community. I was here yesterday and there were already about a dozen people banging on the door to get in,” said Store Manager, Michael Cooley.
Hobby Lobby says they’re very excited to be a part of Gillette. City Councilman Billy Montgomery said a few words before the store’s official open, and County Commissioner Del Shelstad was also present to support the new addition to our business community.
