Congratulations to Gillette College and the Pronghorns Soccer teams as they played their first game Friday at the newly dedicated Pronghorn Field. The ladies won against Central Wyoming College, 12 – 0, and the men’s team won their game 3 – 1.
The new field is a regulation-sized soccer pitch with artificial turf, the largest of its kind in Wyoming. Mayor Louise Carter-King, County Commissioner Rusty Bell, former Commissioner Mickey Shober, and NWCCD President Dr. Walter Tribley all spoke at the dedication ceremony, which included the Energy City Voices, and a ribbon-cutting with our Energizers.
Thank you to everyone who made the new field possible, including Powder River Construction. Go Pronghorns!
